Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 30, 2026
This policy describes how we handle personal information when you use our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). We are not your lawyers; please read this carefully and consult qualified counsel if you need advice for your situation.
Overview of the Service
The Service is a marketplace-style platform where music creators can create an account, build a profile, upload audio submissions (such as demos, beats, or songs), and receive feedback from industry mentors. We also handle billing for paid plans, send operational notifications about your account and submissions, and use analytics to understand how the product is used.
Information we collect
- Account and authentication. When you sign up or sign in, our authentication provider processes identifiers such as your email address and credentials. We store your user ID and link it to your activity on the Service.
- Profile information. You may provide a display name, bio, creative roles, avatar image, and links (for example social handles). Depending on your visibility settings, parts of your profile may be shown on a public profile page.
- Submissions and creative content. Audio files, titles, genres, and related metadata you upload for review; mentor-generated feedback such as timestamped notes and voice recordings associated with your submission.
- Payments. When you purchase a subscription or other paid offering, our payment processor (Stripe) collects billing details and processes charges. We receive limited payment-related records needed to operate your subscription (for example customer IDs, subscription status, and usage tied to your plan).
- Communications and support. Messages you send us, including support requests, and operational emails or in-product notifications we send you.
- Usage and device data. Technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and events in the application, collected through cookies or similar technologies as described under Analytics below.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, secure, and improve the Service, including routing submissions to mentors and displaying feedback to you.
- Authenticate users, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions and quotas (such as submission credits).
- Send transactional messages (for example submission status, billing receipts, and account notices).
- Measure product usage and diagnose issues using analytics tools described below.
- Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Service, with the following categories of recipients:
- Mentors. When you submit work for feedback, mentors you are matched or assigned to can access the submission materials and profile details needed to complete the review (consistent with your plan and our product design).
- Infrastructure and hosting. We use Supabase for authentication, database, file storage, and related backend services. Data is processed on their systems under their terms and security practices.
- Payments. Stripe processes payments and related tax calculations at checkout where applicable. Stripe receives payment and billing information you provide through their flows.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics and PostHog as described in the next section. Those providers may process pseudonymous usage data on our behalf.
- Professional advisers and legal. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. We do not use your submissions for public advertising without separate permission as described in our Terms of Service.
Analytics: Google Analytics and PostHog
We use Google Analyticsto understand aggregate traffic and marketing effectiveness on our public pages. Google may use cookies and similar technologies; their handling of data is described in Google's privacy documentation: Google Privacy Policy.
We use PostHogfor product analytics (for example page views and in-app events) to improve features and reliability. PostHog processes usage events on our behalf. See PostHog's privacy information: PostHog Privacy Policy.
Depending on your region and browser settings, you may be able to limit certain analytics cookies or signals. Where required by law, we will provide additional choices or notices.
Public profiles
If you set your profile visibility to public, a profile page may be accessible to anyone who has or discovers the URL. For users designated as mentors on the platform, a public profile may also be listed on our mentor directory and included in our sitemap for search engines. Private visibility limits who can view that public profile page; it does not change that mentors need access to your submissions and related account data to provide feedback you request.
Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account subject to legal and operational constraints (for example completed payment records).
Security
We use industry-standard measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us using the details on the site to exercise these rights. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
